THE SALMON BAKE
(Photo taken by Steve McKnight at the 1999 Salmon Bake.)The Anderson Island Historical Society's Annual Salmon Bake and Rib BBQ is held the Week-end in July closest to the 4th. It started back in 1963 when the Anderson Island Boat Club decided to have a salmon derby. Thus, a tradition was born. As always, we need volunteers to help with this event. Call Bob Garmire at 884-6976 if you can help. We have been serving around 800 dinners a year at this event, so you can see that we need all the help we can get! There will be caramel apples, several chances to win great stuff at a raffle, and a silent auction. So, bring your appetite and enjoy this great event the closest Saturday to the 4th. of July each year! THE APPLE CIDER SQUEEZE
